Automatic backup to cloud
App should use the Export feature to automatically backup accounts to a cloud service of the user's choosing.
Hello there,
Thank you for your feedback, we will keep an eye on this and gain more data to see if this is a feature that more users would like. If this is the case, we will start to review it and discuss the consideration of this idea. Thank you.

Not having a backup which I can download drives me crazy. I am looking into how to migrate to another finance app because of this. Telling that there is nothing to worry about because data is automatically backup sounds amateur and is not fine with me.

I couldn't agree more! Automatic backup to the cloud is an absolute must-have feature for any budgeting app. Our personal experience highlights the importance of data security and peace of mind for users. Losing all my data due to a bug is a nightmare scenario, and it's frustrating to rely solely on manual exports and reminders to prevent such mishaps.
With automatic cloud backup, we can finally bid farewell to the constant worry of data loss. It's all about making our lives easier and ensuring our financial records are protected. This feature will not only save us time but also provide a sense of security that our hard-earned financial data is in safe hands.

This feature is a must! I want to have backup for 3 things:
1. Validate the consistency in time
2. Custom stats in my Excel or other place
3. Backup in case Wallet goes bankrupt -

An example:
A year ago I created a second user account, installed Wallet in second profile. In my main accout I created
a shared group and added my second accout to check how sharing works. Yesterday I decided to look at that functionality one more time. I opened Wallet with my second user account, switched to shared group and... my data has been corrupted!1. I lost all my widgets.
2. Some of my planned transactions has been overwritten (in a meantime I adjusted some of my planned transactions, some was removed, some was added.)
3. My total balance has changed and became incorrect. (I found out that was caused my planned transactions which was recreated/modified after sync. If planned transaction was set to execute automatically, after sync new records were added or those existing were changed). When you install app you are getting message "do not be afraid of loosing your data. Backup is done every day and stored in cloud".
Yeah. Right. So how can we restore that backup in such fuckup I had yesterday? I lost whole day to review past records, recreate planned transactions and widgets.

Hello! Without this function, the application does not look like a reliable tool, because you can lose all previous data without the possibility of restoring them in the application. For example, your competitor Monefy provides the ability to synchronize both with Google Drive and to export and import a file with all data locally.

Exporting is interesting, but it must be secure. Export must always be encrypted!!! It wouldn't make sense without encryption.

I believe cloud back/restore is a must have feature for this app, it's pointless without it

Automatic Cloud backup is the most secure option. Via Dropbox for example which is the most common cloud server. Also it will be helpful to store your data also to i cloud during iphone system backup. The period of automatic backup should be adjustable from the user (daily, monthly etc) I am really afraid of loosing my data. What if budgetbakers server crash?? I want to control my data safety…..

I am afraid exporting our data locally into our device within Wallet is not safe. For instance, when we want to export it monthly and after a month uploading the exported file into cloud is possible and a good idea. However, what if on 15th or 16th day of the month our device is stolen or lost? So we miss all data of the 14 days on wallet. If we buy a new device, we cannot find the data back. That's why, I suggest daily cloud back like Google Drive. Using it we can backup any records daily.

The automatic backup will be very helpful. It will allow users to play a little more with their data without a fear of loosing data.
However I would prefer to have that backup stored locally in my phones memory. Keeping financial data in external services does not sounds very safe.
