Fully Customize Categories & Sub-Categories
Please provide users with the ability to fully customize categories & sub-categories, as well as deleting everything in a category.
The reason for which new categories cannot be added is that Wallet uses machine learning that works with structured data. If users added categories themselves the data would no longer be properly interpreted by the app and its features would return statistics that are not as accurate or relevant.
However, you can rename the main categories or add your own subcategory.
For more information on how you can edit your categories, please check our FAQ article All about categories/subcategories.
Tip: To hide a Main Category, hide all of the subcategories under it!
Tip: You can also bulk edit your Records to apply a category to many Records at once!

It is sad that this super important feature is declined, in the name of ML. To be honest, I have not seen anything in the app that seems to have come from some ML algorithms. And ideally, in my opinion, the user should be allowed to opt out of any ML suggestions. I am sure many of the users will prefer to have things organized in the way they want, instead of machine suggesting some things to them in the way the machine wants.
At the very least, please allow adding true sub-categories, not sub-sub-categories, coz currently that's what the app allows. If you guys implement this, this app would be 100% perfect app, currently it is sitting at the 80% perfection for me.

Mr. Admin BudgetBakers_K this is actually wrong. You can not add sub-categories. You can only add sub-sub-categories, which is only remotely useful. Can you please describe what those machine learning features are that we can not get this very very useful, desired and requested feature? Can we have an option to not get the 'benefits' of machine learning but still structure our categories the way we want?
How exactly would the app be worse if we didn't get the 'machine learning' but we got the customisable categories? -

While automatic actions can save time... I am very sure that many of us would prefer to have a more flexible control than an automated function that in the end does not satisfy us at all... Or at least have the possibility to choose between one and the other world, knowing the pros and cons they may have...

I think that maybe this could be solved eventually by giving the AI that does machine learning, common tags that allow to relate a new category with the ones in its database, as well as training it individually the user could indicate to which GLOBAL category (the one used internally by the algorithm) belongs or would be related to the one he has created... Anyway, even if we had to do without some automated information, many of us would prefer to be able to customize 100% according to our needs, while that does not happen, nothing will replace a traditional excel sheet. It is just a suggestion, I consider that your application is very powerful and user friendly, so I think you should make this aspect more flexible and progressively train the algorithm with the same feeback that each user creates.
