1. Less "friction" to add records

   Hi,
   I feel like there are some little inconveniences that “increase friction” - meaning require actions that could’ve been avoided in order to improve user experience. In my opinion, the fewer clicks user has to do in order to add a record, the more motivated he is to do that. So I’d like to share some suggestions about those inconveniences.

   • Automatic rules & Category

   I feel like at the moment automatic rules are kind of useless in a day-to-day usage.
   I’ve set up a bunch of automatic rules to assign category based on the keywords in the Notes field. But when I add any record, I’m required(!) to enter the category manually, so I still have to do those additional actions and I don’t benefit from automatic rules.

   Suggestion: Make Category field not required (or add a Settings options to change that). That way if a user creates a record without manually specifying Category, the record either goes to some default category (for example, “Unknown expences” / ”Other” or a user-defined default category) or the record gets the category assigned by the automatic rules.

   Also, I noticed that automatic rules weren’t picking up all the records with specified keywords, when ran against imported data.
   I imported 3 months of data with around ~300 records and was testing automatic rules to parse the records. Rules were working great on the last 30 days of data and were assigning category correctly, but for some reason not all of the records older than 30 days got processed by the rules (despite having the keywords in notes).

   • Payment type

   Please, add an option to Settings to set the default Payment type. Right now by default it is always set to “cash” and it’s very inconvenient to change it 90% of the time (for example for people using mostly cards).
   Another way to achieve that would be to use Templates. But it still requires couple of clicks (to open the Templates list, then to select Template) - so having a Settings option to set default Template for adding records would be great too.
   Also, I see that this only utilized on the Analytics page. Maybe would be nice to add some dashboards showing the expences grouped by payment type.

4. In the 'Categories' menu, give users an option to delete categories they don't need, instead of just 'hiding' them.

   In the 'Categories' menu, offer more customisation to users by giving them options to:

5. Add subcategory under root category

   Currently, it's not possible to create a subcategory under the root category. For example, you cannot create a subcategory under "Food & Drinks" or "Vehicle" directly. You can only create a subcategory from an existing subcategory. And the problem is that there are only a handful of subcategories for each root category. So "Food & Drinks" might have like 5 or 6 subcategories. Even if you rename them and create more subcategories under them, it might not make sense depending on use case.

6. Change transaction type automatically when choosing a category

   (Web app and mobile)

   When we directly choose a category and add a transaction then no matter whether it's an income or expense category the transaction is added as the record type by default(expense).

   The feature should work like when we choose a category it should take the transaction type as per the category.

   Example scenario. The default transaction type is expense. If I choose salary and add transaction then even if salary is income category the transaction is added as expense. The flow should not be like that.

7. Caixa Geral de Depositos

   I purchased Wallet recently and I was satisfied and pleased with the app, it had helped me define a budget and get an overview of my expenses but one day, my bank, named in the title stopped syncing and updating data.

   The mobile app had no information as to why this was the case, I tried day after day to no avail. It was only when I checked the web version that I discovered that my bank would be unavailable for syncing until the 26th of November, today.

   Today I opened the app tried to sync, same mistake. I check the web version and now I'm being told my bank will only be available for sync on the third of next month.

   I can understand a temporary downtime due to API changes, or technical overhaul, I used to work in the tech industry so I understand that sometimes downtime is needed but we're nearing the point where the downtime is becoming unreasonable and I'm starting to regret my purchase.

   I would appreciate, first of all, better communication from the mobile app as to why some technical issue may be occurring, and better communication as to why the issue is occurring.

8. Records remember transaction creation date, not overwrite with exectuion date

   App currently overrides the record date with execution date.
   But its critical for me to see how much I spend on a given day.

   Currently the transaction date overrides with execution date and for example clusters all transactions since friday to a monday when they get executed.

   App should remember the transaction creation date and provide option to use this to sort records.

9. Multiple banks went missing from sync supported banks list, sync does not work

   There are already many other users having problems with this, as seen from other posts below.

   From my country (Hungary) two of the biggest banks (K&H, OTP) just disappeared from the sync supported list, sync does not work anymore.

   Please fix this ASAP, and react to the posts of others

10. Ideas & customization required. Bugs to be rectified

    These are some the features & customization that will be very helpful. Also please rectify the errors/bugs :

    1. Option to add more main category other than the default ***** very much required

    2. Option to add more second level category ***** very much required

    3. Option to reorganize categories (like move up, move down)

    4. Goal are stand alone. Need option to transfer between actual accounts and goals. Goals can be considered as virtual accounts. Or another option is to block amount in a account towards goal.

    5. Features to track investments, deposits would be really helpful. Options to consider inflation, interest, CAGR and track growth etc. will be excellent. This can be linked with goals to make it more useful. Right now these have to be done on a spread sheet and manually entered to wallet which is quite time consuming.

    6. Still many bugs in reports. This is happening when we change the category names, but in many reports the changes are not reflected. (currently facing in "Credit" - statistics)

    7. Bugs in notifications. Still receiving notifications from planned payments that are completely deleted

    8. In records, when enabling "show balance in every record", please provide two options, one for the balance before the entry and one for after. This helps in reconciliation

    9. In Statistics > credit > debt to income ratio pie dig. please give option to go deeper to analyse the debts

    10. Too many accounts will clutter the home. An option to collapse/minimize few less used accounts will be good.

    11. In the Budgets & goals tab > records tab , options to sort records will be helpful. Sorting feature will be very helpful in other records window as well.

    12. Case : I have created a bank account and manually added past records. Way forward i want to automate the entry by linking to bank account. How to do this. The account is not listed in the import window.

    13. Option to organize different goals. Grouping options will be good. It helps in categorizing short/mid/long term goals.

    14. Please add notes feature similar to shopping list.

    15. Issue while creating debt record. User should be able to assign category, change date, notes etc.

    16. Issues when creating new planned payment. Issue is when we create a new item which actually started before and we want to enter the record to the app for records. Even after editing the records after its created , the changes are not reflecting in the payment overview. Another issue is when giving 'yes' as confirmation to 'create transactions automatically for future scheduled payments', we are unable to change the past record details in overview. Need options to manually add records/ edit already created records in the records overview section.

12. Bug! in the Receipt Image upload section

    There is a bug in the receipt upload of image.

    1. The image does not get registered no matter what I try. This is observed in Samsung S20 FE 5G - Android Premium version. On occasions I have noticed that only when I keep my phone absolutely steady does it upload the image with cropping and other image setting. See the attached video for reference.

    2. Why don't you provide OCR for the image receipts, wherein one can search for the text in the image from the main wallet app itself.

    3. Support for uploading .pdf files is also highly recommended.

13. Remember keep last used accounts filter In transaction view per device

    When you open the transactions page you have to set the accounts filter each time. It would be nice to have that setting stored locally on each device.

17. Incorrect results of convert money

    Convertation money rate in app incorrect. In my case byn/usdt. When I convert byn to USD your app use incorrect rate and writes the final amount of usd. When I manually corrected it your app change the amount of BYN.
    For me this is critical.
    I see a solution - allow manual editing of the final amount.

20. One-Time budget

    Hi!

    I noticed that in my one-time budget the total sum on the top is shown correctly, but at the bottom in the categories it is not. The budget counts expenses from only one label (Australia) The point is that within the budget returns for some expenses were added (for example -500€ for renting a car, and in 2 weeks +500 refund) The sum at the bottom adds returns as expenses. This is a big confusing error...
    On the screenshoots you can see simple expenses (Australia) around 2,8K € (also in the budget on the top of screen), in the budhet (bottom) is over 3,7K €
