As a long-term user and paying subscriber of Wallet, I wholeheartedly echo the sentiments expressed here. The current absence of the ability to assign categories or tags to uncleared transactions poses a significant usability challenge. Let's break down why this feature matters:

    - Memory Fade: Transactions often take time to clear, and during this period, our memory of the transaction context fades. Assigning a category or tag right when the transaction appears in the app ensures accuracy and relevance.

    - User Benchmark: Other financial tracking apps, such as Mint, have successfully implemented this feature. As users, we naturally compare experiences across platforms. The lack of this functionality in Wallet leaves us feeling somewhat disappointed.

    - Balancing Automation and Flexibility: While we appreciate the automated categorization system, allowing users to manually tag uncleared transactions strikes a balance. It doesn't disrupt the automatic system but empowers users to maintain clarity.

    - Freshness Matters: The best moment to categorize an expense is when it's fresh in our memory. Waiting for days to revisit transactions becomes cumbersome, especially for frequent card payments.

In light of these points, I urge the Wallet team to consider implementing this feature. Locking the transaction value for uncleared transactions while enabling categorization would enhance the overall user experience. 🚀

Let's hope that the developers take note of our collective voice and prioritize this enhancement. If you haven't already, consider upvoting the related post to amplify its visibility. Together, we can make Wallet an even more powerful financial management tool! 💪👛
