We encourage more users to come forward and express their interest in this feature. Once it gains more traction and we see a higher demand for it, we can pass it over to the developers for their consideration.

It is currently very difficult to re-tag the transactions after import. Setting this field at the source would be extremely useful.I don't think it would involve a great development effort, a quick win for the dev team :)

To add to the lineup of competitors, YNAB Web has a very comprehensive Payee management page (not on the mobile app), see screenshot. There's even a rule to auto-rename the payee from multiple critera
I'd typically expect to see this in the web client.
Please devs, give us an update!

Absolutely, I'm surprised the idea has so little votes !
I would add that the request (screenshot) refers to the web app, but it is also applicable to the mobile app.
Other apps have more compact list entries with no less information displayed (e.g. YNAB and Moneywiz, see screenshots below). These 2 examples show 9 records on a screen vs. 6 for Wallet: a lot of vertical space lost !
Ideally, it should be possible for the user to add/remove the fields displayed in the transactions view in preference.
(e.g. hide "Notes")
