Add totals in the Budgets and Goals tab
Please include totals for the period such as:
- the total amount of all planned budgets;
- the total amount of all current expenses;
- and most importantly, the remaining amount, that is, the current amount minus the total amount.
This will help to understand how much money is needed until the end of the period to stay in the budget.

Totally gree with these ideas. I think it will be better to get to it by changing budget concept and having 1 budget with different categories instead of many budgets each for separate category. This is how planning is usually done. Your income is usually pretty straight so when you do your planning for 1 month, 1 quarter or 1 year ahead you know the total amount of money you want to spend - this is your budget. And then you split this amount of money into differrent categories. And you track how you go vs. total and inside each category. You can have rollovers between different categories and you want to see it. In some cases these rollovers are ok, in some you want have strict amount of money for 1 category. You still can have not one budget but for example 1 short term (month or quarter) and 1 long term (year and more) but it's pretty weird that you have many budgets for different categories and you cannot combine them all into one to track total statistics.
It overall looks to me pretty strange that so much time and efforts are put into expense tracking and categorization instead of planning and for planning there is only small budget tool without good analytics which is not even present in Web Version. Good finance habbits come not from super accurate expense tracking but from setting financial goals based on understanding your cash outs and trying to stick to these goals. And after couple of times you miss your goals you will start better understand your finances and improve.

the total of the remaining budget to be spent is critical. it is shown per budget, but not as a total. very weird. simple update to do for them

No it's not. it's the total spent, and total budgets. but when you define budgets for a total of , let's say 1000€. if you have spent 400, I think it is more critical to know what you can spend (ie 1000-400=600) rather than what you have spent. I don't want to do the math myself, they can do it easily, it's a 5mn change for a SW engineer -

You can check totals for budgets and spent money under those budgets in section "Budgets" (not the one under a tab on home page, but the one available from left side menu).
