Well, we have a forecast in Wallet, but it works terribly wrong. I have already raised a case in Wallet support and describe them how I believe it should work.

This is what support member wrote me:

    "Jay

    Hi,

Balance Forecast chart predicts if you will have enough money to pay your bills in the upcoming specific period. It compares your planned payments, expenses and debts with your expected income.

We were discussing this with our devs team and because it's not clear to our users how the balance is calculated, we decided to update the charge with brief notes. We hope to introduce this change soon.

Please note that when you set up the card so get your balance compared on a monthly basis, Wallet will compare your income dating back a month and 7 days ago. You're then comparing the exact day from a month and 7 days ago to the day of today. Hope it makes sense.
    Best,
    Jay"

But basically forecase does not work as expected and I hope I managed to convince them.

Long story short I suggets to have 2 forecast graphs.
    1. For those who do not have set budgets - Based on current predictions (period+7days), but still - it must be fixed, becasue it shows wrong data.
    2. For those who have planned transactions and budgets there should be a separate forecast with columns:
    - balance from beginning of the selected period,
    - planned incomes,
    - budgeted expenses (including planned expenses),
    - calculated balanse (column1 + column2 - column3)

There must be possibility to add 1 category to multiple budgets (example - I have monthly and yearly budgets for the same groups of categories).

However, I agree that such functionality would be handy and usefull.

    1. It already sync data with fintechs (Revolut, N26, PayPal, etc). Perhaps not with all of existing ones. If you would like to sync data with any specific service, raise a request for that. However...

    2. ... Wallet does not provide bank sync by itself. This functionality is provided by Saltedge. Here is a request form to add bank/service support.

Just scan and add bill to the transaction.
You will have a total price there.

Forget. They will not change categories.
This is the weakest point of Wallet.

Open home page, click on the gear icon on the right hand side (in the line where there is a title of section "Accounts".)
Change the order of your accounts there.

    Done.

It was discussed many times here. People believe that savings/refunds/debts are not income/expense. However, from technical aspect - they are.

If you do not want to see them in reports, statiscitcs etc - just create a saved filter and use it. ;) You may exclude selected categories from stats or you may select those records which are marked as debts.
I have several fliters for that to show me:
    - everything excluding debts and refunds,
    - everything except refunds,
    - everything except debts,
    - refunds only,
    - debts only,
    - everything except debts and refunds (incomes only)
    - everything except debts and refunds (expenses only).

    and some other filters.

For second query - you may check it in stats -> balance. Just swipe from bottom and select accounts and filter (if required).

You may also create a widget on dashboard with predefined filter and select account by press&hold on accounts.

Hi. Shopping lists do not use any currency.
    1. Add items
    2. Provide a price

    After/during shopping:
    3. Mark item as bought
    4. Click "add record"

Now, if you will select an account with hryvnias to you add a record in hryvnias. If you will select an account with czech corons, you will add a record in corons.

Other words - works as expected.

In Android app there is a built-in calculator already.

I guess you are talking about iOS app, right?

Well... I would prefer to not have templates on that popup. What more, I would prefer to not have that popup. For me clicking "+" should open a page which allows to provide price, account, category, etc.

I use templates a lot and I have never used them from that pupup. I always use button "templates" on the screen of adding transaction. (check attached screenshot).

    1. When you create a new record, just select "transfer", choose accounts, and provide the amount.
    2. Click on exchange rate to change it manually.

    Note:
It works only for new records. If you want to modify an existing record it can't be done. But as a workaround, you may create a new recors and remove the old one.

I guess the same will happen for planned recurrent transactions scheduled to 31st of each month.

I just moved all my planned transactions to be done between 1st and 28th.
(I know. It is not a solution but a workaround).

You may do it by yourself.
    - All categories can have one of 3 natures (or no nature).
    - If you know how much you earn you should know how big will be your income.

If you earn $1000 just create 3 budgets:
    1. First one call "MUST", select all categories with nature 'must' and set budget to $500,
    2. Second one call "NEED", select all categories with nature "need" and set budget to $300,
    3. Third one call "WANT", select all categories with nature "want" and set budget to $200.

But in my opinion organising budgets that way has no sense.
    For me categories of nature:
    - "must" are: taxes, bills, mortgage, insurance, etc
    - "need" are: food, healthcare, cosmetics, transport and car, car and house service, clothes
    - "want" are: gadgets, electronics, multimedia, sport, free time,...

Tracking nature of spendings is helpful in reducing spendings. If I have a limited budget I will know I must pay bills, I need food, but I may resignate from games, books, electornics, etc.

The idea is good. However, I see some limitations. For example, all accounts that are configured to use imports must be of type "main".

    Hi,
If you want an automatic solution for goals in Wallet, you may just not use built-in goals.

If you have savings only in your bank account, create sub-accounts or saving accounts in your bank and set defined transfers to those accounts. That way, you can easily track your saving goals just by looking at accounts.

Personally, I found "unpinned" goals very handy. It allows us to add to goals money stored in cash or even our investments, like metals, shares, or ETFs.

    Hi,
I do not speak Spanish, so I will answer in English.
    You have 2 options.

    1. In statistics from the bottom bar, just select "current month" and switch to next/previous month by arrows.
    2. You may also create monthly budgets, and you will get month by month stats there.
